I'm going to be generally unavailable until the 14th, you can still place orders but I might not process them until then. I'll be checking my email though, so if you need to contact me please do.
February 11, 2008: Don't worry, I won't keep you waiting long!
Just a reminder - Shirt and undie orders take me 1-4 weeks to send out, so please be patient. I make each and every order myself, especially for you. I don't keep a stock of pre-made stuff on a shelf to ship, to me that would just feel wrong and retail-y. I know everyone wants fast shipping and instant gratification, but some things take time to be done right. I pull a squeegee as quickly as I can!
It may not really matter in the end, but I think there's a huge difference between making things "to sell" and making things explicitly for someone. The former would make me feel hollow, so that's not the way I do things.
November 19, 2007: The Holidays
If you want to make any shirt or undie orders for the "holidays" please do it now! It can take me up to four weeks to make and send out apparel orders, so don't dally (I try to get them out as quickly as possible though!).
Button/sticker orders take me much less time, so you can make those well into December.
There's always gift certificates!
August 02, 2007: Shirts and undies!
I'm taking shirt and undie orders again! I've "retired" a bunch of designs, it's rather difficult to offer so many, I'm only one person! However, if you want any of the retired designs just email me and let me know, I'll probably be able to bring it out of retirement for you. It's not a big deal!
Sorry I took so long, I got distracted I guess. Plus it's not a lot of fun to print shirts in the summer heat without an air conditioner! But I'll manage. : )
If you have stuff in your cart please check the pages for design and shirt color availability before you order!
Please remember that the turn-around time for shirt and undie orders is 1-4 weeks! I make them one by one, I don't keep anything on a shelf.

I made a few random buttons today and I've put them up. Yup, I know I need to put up new buttons more often! Usually I feel like I have to make a whole big batch first, but I'm slowly trying to get over that.

April 09, 2007: Patience
I'm a bit behind on shirt and undie orders right now. It's very stressful and I'm trying to catch up, so I ask for your patience. I don't keep piles of 'stock' on hand, I print each and every shirt myself just for the person who ordered them. I don't get them printed by some souless, environmentally-hostile company and then put them on a shelf to lie in wait (ug!). The downside of printing them myself is that it takes some time! I should be caught up in a week or so.
January 18, 2007: New shirt, new size!
I just put up a "Tofu makes you gay, eat more tofu!" shirt but more importantly you can now get the girly-tees (style 2102) in XXL (for any design of course!). Make sure you check the sizing page.
January 09, 2007: New Buttons!
I put up some new buttons! There's a bunch of vegan stuff, atheist stuff, oh and the pope don't forget him! Plus a letter to New Jersey (don't worry NJers, I still love you) and more.
January 06, 2007: Updates
I changed the site around just a little. The main page now has all the updates, and what was on it before is now on the 'about mushycat' page. If you don't want to read my rambling you can just click on the 'new' link above which will show you just the entries about new stuff on the site. Good, no?

September 20, 2006: Some new buttons!
I spent some time on making it easier for me to do button updates. Previously it involved lots of gesturing and incantations (flipendo!) and caused some of my hair to turn from blue to gray. Now it just involves counting to ten. Technology trumps magic every time!
I think it worked at least. Tell me if it didn't please! More buttons will be coming if it did. Also, you can now just hover over the button and sticker images to zoom in, I don't know why I didn't do that before, twas easy.
Anyway, click on the Space Amoeba button to see the new buttons.
Update to the update: I added more! This is a batch of custom buttons that I've been promising to add, thanks to all of you who let me put them on the site!

September 13, 2006: The Kawaii Update!
This is the first of smaller and hopefully more frequent updates! I've got some new shirt and bumpersticker designs. They're terribly cute, at least I think so anyway.
I drew Mr. Polar Bear years ago but I saved the file to the wrong folder and lost him. When I found him again I decided he needed a friend... (shirts and bumperstickers)
 
Happy and Yummy Tofu are just more of my tofu craziness, as you probably know, I love the stuff. tofu! tofu! tofu! rah! rah! rah! (shirts and bumperstickers)
  
Some people got together recently and decided that Pluto was no longer a 'planet', thus making Pluto sad! Pluto was kinda eccentric anyway, but it's got Charon so things will be alright. (shirts)
All of that will be available on buttons soon, I just haven't gotten to it.

Don't worry, I haven't gone all soft and I'm not going to just make cute stuff now. Though I find life rather heavy and a bit of cuteness does lift the fog for a few fleeting moments... [end melodrama]
Also, the 2322 raglan nigh-hoodie shirts are back (I love those) but I've taken down the zip-up hoodies for now in an effort to make my life more stress-free (they were a lot of extra work). I'm still printing on the pull-over hoodies though!
You may remember my kitty Little Bub from when she used to grace the front of mushycat (if you do, hearts and stars! That was a long time ago!). Poor bub was just diagnosed as diabetic.
I have to give her shots twice a day and she's not been the happiest kitty. Hopefully she'll be feeling better, it was caught pretty early and so she'll surely be fine. She's the sweetest kitty you know, all she ever seems to want is to snuggle up next to me, without fail.
Kaki King is kinda amazing guitarist/songwriter. How come no one told me about her before?
August 27, 2006: Google Checkout
I added Google Checkout as a payment option. I actually had it working the day after it came out but they didn't have everything working properly on their end. Anyway, it's just another way to pay for your order with a credit card, like paypal. Unfortunately it's for US residents only right now, sorry! Not up to me.

February 17, 2006: Postcards and my ipod and the gallery!
I finally put up new postcards, they're a bit silly but hopefully just looking at them will make you smile a bit, which is good enough.
purchase pending! I am selling my ipod, it's a 2G (2nd generation) model. 10 GB, firewire only, with the firewire cable, mini firewire adaptor, wired remote, and a blue neoprene case. It works perfectly and I believe the battery life is still rather good. There's no headphones or wall charger, sorry. It does charge over the firewire cable of course. It's got the usual scuffs all over it, those things are impossible to keep perfect and so I didn't try. ^_^
oh, and I also finally updated the gallery!
February 13, 2006: Button hair clip
Here's a simple way to attach a button to a hair clip, the snap kind.
You need a button with its pinback in place, a twist tie that's at least 3" long, and a hair clip (medium or large size).
Open the clip and put the twist tie through it, close the clip.
Curve the ends of the twist tie like so. Please don't look at my dry fingers, it's winter after all.
Pass the twist tie under the button's pin.
Put the end of the hair clip under the lip of the button and bend the twist tie ends around the pin. Try to get it tight but don't pull the pin out.
Twist the twist tie! The twist tie is now happy because it has finally lived up to its name. Everything should feel snug, if it doesn't, it's easy to undo everything and try again.
Trim the ends of the twist tie off for a tidy look. You can put the clip so that it rests on top of the button ring or under it, whatever feels more secure.
Rotate the button around until it's the way you want it. Remember that buttons like to be turned clockwise.
That's it, put it in your hair, silly. And send me a photo for the gallery.
Or if your bag is getting too jealous and wants its button back, you can just open the pin and slide the clip off.

October 10, 2005: Hoodies and new shirt designs!
I hope no one is celebrating Columbus day, 'discovering' an area that is already populated and then killing and enslaving the native people is nothing to celebrate.
The hoodies are now available, as are a bunch of new shirt designs, and also some new colors for the ringer shirts. You can find everything in the shirt section of the site.
I will be updating other sections of the site soon!
